What to Know

Critics Consensus

It's positioned as the start of a franchise, but I Am Number Four's familiar plot and unconvincing performances add up to one noisy, derivative, and ultimately forgettable sci-fi thriller.

JaCinda W I loved it and I can’t believe the hate it gets I wish there was a second movie or they could do a series based off the books as well like they do everything else anymore idc, but this was a really good movie. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Rich S Located somewhere in a dirt-road triangle between "The Lost Boys," "Resident Alien" and "Dawson's Creek," I found myself having to reach for the remote each time the music or sound effects took over. It's an evil trap to have the actors practically whisper their lines -- even as they go searching for a friend in the woods -- and then have a near explosion inside the house when the sound-effects and music come into play. The movie? It calls itself "I Am Number Four." Even with such a low bar, it falls painfully short. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Tiffany T I think the movie is great! I loved it as a kid and love it now. Because of the ratings on here we never got a part 2 and I am here for it. Hopefully I can get a bunch of people to agree and give good reviews! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Emilliano Jr S I was hoping it will get a sequel or a reboot. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Fin D I got bored. Love the side character Sam, but the rest of the movie was flat and pathetic Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review Bob F I thought this was a fun and action packed movie. The acting was pretty good and the special effects were pretty good. I like the plot too. I can't quite figure out why others didn't like it that much because it did a good job holding my attention....I have seen it several times and always stop and watch at least some of it every time I see it on.
